• English 227: Forrest Gump Adaptation

    Through this website, we hope to explain the analytical process behind the transition of moving Forrest Gump the novel into the film genre. We explore the process of adaptation, as well as look into theme/character changes and the specific role of the director/producer/author/actors. Historical and symbolic elements are also further explored - which can be navigated through the upper tabs.

    Through our research, we provide an in-depth look at Forrest Gump - both through it's role in the arts and society.
